Over 35 people turned up for our traditional Shrove Tuesday pancake evening with sweet and savoury pancakes, quiz and other entertainment.
In 2021 we could not hold this event. Instead, we provided a pancake recipe for people to use at home, for simplicity, scanning a page of Tricia Carrick's recipe book. Tricia noted: "It's well-worth trying and, with a bit of practice, you'll be able to make delicious pancakes which you can fill with something savoury e.g. cheese and ham, or with the traditional sugar and lemon or maple syrup. The main trick is to make sure that the pan is hot before you put the batter in – and don't use too much oil."
